 Quality customer service and a genuine desire to serve others are at the core of Josh’s success in the insurance industry. His role as President of the Benefits Division for The Norton Agency provides skilled leadership and sales expertise in this growing segment. A seasoned professional, he began his career at BlueCross BlueShield in Atlanta, after receiving his BBA from Auburn University. Over the 11 years at BCBS, Josh consistently produced at the highest level, earning Top Sales Rep Awards for Georgia most of those years. His superior leadership skills led to the development of the Atlanta-based agency, JP Hawkins Insurance, where he served as President and General Manager until merging with Norton in 2011.
Josh shares his leadership skills in many different capacities. He is an active member of Brookhaven Rotary, receiving the prestigious Rotarian of the Year Award
in 2010 and serving as Rotary Club President during 2011-12. He is in his 2nd term on the Development Board at Wesleyan School in Norcross and was acting Scout Master for 3 years to Cub Scout Pack 236, one of North Georgia’s largest packs. Josh also makes time to coach little league and teach young hunters about safety and the enjoyment of hunting.
Josh is a lifetime resident of Atlanta, where he lives with his wife and three children. Local knowledge combined with his vast expertise in the benefits arena gives him the edge to understand the complexities of the changing insurance environment in Georgia. Josh knows how to get things done, with his goal being to serve all whom he meets with integrity, honesty and fairness.
